If it could be welded, 4-H’ers were trying it Saturday, Dec. 1, while at the Welding Workshop and 4-H Project Extravaganza. Each 4-H’er learned basic welding terms, safety, techniques and tips while horseshoeing snowmen and reindeer. The workshop was led by instructor Jim Otto at the Kirkwood Washington County Regional Center. Participants included Kristopher Boone, Kaden Read, Taylor Bartholomew, Zoey Dennler, Blake Sheetz, Gavin Sieren, Peighton Ford, Grace Skelton, Tess Berdo, Brynn Northup, Maya Bruty, Paige Malichky, and Annie Morrison.
The 4-H Project Extravaganza was designed to offer several unique hands-on learning opportunities through a variety of workshops partnered on one day. Another similar project day will be held in March.
