At the Library

Summer fun includes the library

It’s summer reading time at the library, which means we are wonderfully busy. To kick off our summer reading season we had our ridiculously huge book sale! And what a success that was! We made over $900 for the library. We will be using this money to buy new books and movies for the library! We’ll be focusing these efforts by adding classic and niche titles to our movies, like Battle of the Bulge starring Henry Fonda and Monty Python’s Holy Grail. I’m also buying some popular new and classic TV series, like Outlander, Finding Your Roots, and Fawlty Towers. When it comes to books, we’re looking at fulfilling several patron requests, books that people come in and ask for! It never hurts to ask for books! With the rest of the money we will be working on updating our adult nonfiction collection. Information is constantly changing, being presented in new and more accessible ways. I’m hoping to buy some more books on parenting, health, and travel! If you have any requests for nonfiction topics, let me know.
