Washington Middle School had six students audition for the SEIBA honor band on Saturday, Jan. 5, in Fairfield.

Congratulations to the following five WMS Advanced Band students who earned all South East Iowa Bandmasters Association Honors on Saturday. Selected to the SEIBA honor band were:

Kevin Flannery-tuba, son of Ryan & Diana Flannery; Bailey Rees-clarinet, daughter of Tyler & Mindi Rees; Teague Mayer-tuba, son of Curt & Jamie Mayer, Levi Applegate-euphonium, son of Lee Applegate & Angie Hall, and Julianna Watson-Clarinet, daughter of David and Elizabeth Watson.

These five students will perform at Iowa City West High School on Jan. 19 at the SEIBA Festival.

Also auditioning for the SEIBA MS honor band was Flutist, Mikaila Matheson, daughter of Barb Matheson.
