An officer reported locating a wanted subject, Tuesday afternoon at East Second Street in Washington. Deon Turrell Johnson II, 27, of Washington, was arrested on a Washington County warrant for two charges on controlled substance violation. Bond was $20,000 cash only.

Traffic accident

A caller Tuesday morning at Highway 92 in Washington reported that a minibus scraped a pole on the east side of the Walmart parking lot. An officer spoke with the driver. Documentation was made. Minibus had the vehicle towed.

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the lobby of the Police Department in Washington reported that a vehicle struck his vehicle in the Walmart parking lot at Highway 92 in Washington, on Feb. 27. The information was documented.

Animal complaint

A caller Tuesday night at Coppock Road in Washington reported that there was debris in the roadway, possibly from a car accident. Two officers responded. It was a car-vs.-deer accident. The deer was made final, and debris was removed from the road.

Assault

A caller Tuesday night at East Second Street in Washington reported that two male subjects were fighting in the street. Five officers responded. One subject left on foot before the officers arrived. One subject was transported to Washington County Hospital in Washington, arriving at 8:20 p.m. Charges are pending on the two subjects for disorderly conduct.

Disorderly conduct

A caller Tuesday morning at Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported that a teenage boy was having issues with his mother in a vehicle. They were requesting assistance. They were in a dark-green Jeep. Four officers responded. The juvenile calmed down.

Drug/narcotics violation

An officer reported a prescription drug violation, Tuesday afternoon at East Second Street in Washington. Charges are pending, and a report will be filed.

Fraud

A deputy received a report of a scam call, Tuesday evening at A Avenue in Kalona. The officer spoke with the caller. The subject was not out any money. Documentation was made.

Intimidation/harassment

A caller Tuesday morning at Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported a subject who was harassing and threatening her. An officer spoke to the caller and left a message for the other party. The incident was documented.

Search warrant

A caller Tuesday afternoon at South Avenue B in Washington reported executing a search warrant. Four officers all responded. The incident is under investigation.

A caller Tuesday night at Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported a sexual assault. Two officers responded. The report was unfounded.

Welfare check

A caller early Wednesday morning at Sixth Street and Eighth Avenue in Wellman reported that there was a male subject walking eastbound on Highway 22 about 3 miles west of Wellman. He had suitcases with him. An officer responded and located a juvenile who lived in Wellman. The officer gave the juvenile a ride home and spoke with the parents.

A caller Tuesday morning at West Madison Street in Washington reported a drive-off of $10.12 in gas, in the past five to 10 minutes. An officer responded and made contact with a male party at the registered owner’s address. She was at work in Fairfield and would pay on Tuesday afternoon when she was on her way home.

A caller Tuesday morning at Vine Avenue in Crawfordsville reported that a subject cashed a check in December 2018 that was supposed to be signed over to them. An officer spoke with the reporting party. It was going to be a civil issue, since the check was made out to the subject.
