Mid-Prairie’s Cassidy Rourke has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Aurora University, an NCAA Division III school in Aurora, Illinois.

Rourke made 21 starts as a pitcher for the Golden Hawks as a junior. She had a 3.54 earned run average in 122.2 innings pitched.

“Cassidy is avalued student-athlete at Mid-Prairie,” Athletic Director Tyler Hotz said.

“We are excited to see her continue to pursue her passion and dream of playing softball at the next level. Cassidy is involved in other activities such as track, FFA, and Student Leadership to name a few.

“She has also earned all-academic honors and demonstrated she works just as hard in the class room as she does on the softball field. We are excited for her and look forward to seeing the great things she accomplishes.”
